After 2 years of diligently working as a TA and enduring a lot of responsibilities thrown my way from a teacher who hasn't shown the slightest inkling that she enjoys teaching - it will finally be "my time to shine!" (words from my principal) I was finally officially told that I will be a 1st grade teacher, come fall :) I am SO excited! The best part about being placed in 1st grade is that I have been a Kindergarten TA for the past year, so I will more or less be looping with the kids :)
I am already so excited I have been browsing PT all day yesterday looking for supplements to save for a later date :) hehe I'm a dork! I know that 1st grade is going to be a great fit for me - the only part of 1st grade that i'm going to have to dedicate some time to this summer is to go over the phonics program!
I decided to start this blog to try and document my first year of teaching - and hopefully I won't be TOO busy to not keep up with this!
